Who we are

Elemental Tribe is Helen Llewellyn.

She spent years in professional services: insurance brokerage, technical sales, pensions, learning how businesses work from the inside. Not as a consultant observing from a distance, but as someone doing the work, winning the clients, hearing what people said and, more importantly, what they didn't.

WHERE THIS STARTED

Helen was the first person in her firm ever to be promoted from brokerage admin into sales. Not because she was the most money-motivated person in the room — though she held her own — but because she was good at something most salespeople aren't: listening for the unsaid things. What clients actually needed, underneath what they asked for. What would give them genuine peace of mind, not just a policy that ticked a box.

That instinct made her good at technical sales. It also made her increasingly uncomfortable with an industry that measured everything in data and money, and very little else.

I discovered that what really motivated me wasn’t the commission. It was giving people peace of mind. Everything else was just noise..
— Helen Llewellyn

She went on to work in pensions at a time when the industry was still finding its feet. She educated accountants on how pension schemes actually worked. She became the first ever adviser to one pension company, taking on a consultancy role advising them on what worked for users and what didn't. She was, more than once, the person in the room who knew more about the product than the people selling it.

Eventually the gap between the values she was working to and the values the businesses she worked for were optimising for became too wide. Leadership teams making decisions that made no sense to the people on the ground. Targets that served the business model but not the client. A culture where everyone knew something was off but nobody said it out loud.

That experience — of watching capable people operate in systems that didn't fit them, of seeing what happens when a business optimises for the wrong things — became the foundation of Elemental Tribe.

Why This Work

Helen built Elemental Tribe because she kept seeing the same thing: intelligent, capable people in boardrooms, in leadership teams, in firms that looked successful from the outside quietly struggling with questions they didn't have language for.

Who am I in this new version of my industry? What does success actually mean beyond the numbers? Why does it feel like something is missing even when everything looks fine from the outside?

These aren't soft questions. They are the questions that determine whether a business has the culture, the energy and the clarity to navigate what comes next. And they are almost never addressed by conventional coaching or consultancy, because most of it works on the surface.

I see so many people struggling with who they are and what success even means to them. Most know it isn’t just money. They just don’t know what else it can be.

Elemental Tribe exists to answer that. Using a framework of elemental archetypes — fire, air, water, earth — and creative practices drawn from the Japanese arts of Boro and Kintsugi, Helen works with individuals and leadership teams to find their coherence again. To lead from a place that is whole rather than fractured. To build businesses that work for the people in them, not just the targets above them.

What Helen brings to this work

She Knows Your World

Years in insurance and pensions means she understands professional services from the inside. She has sat in the rooms you sit in.

She has been at the crossroads

She knows what it feels like to build something, to nearly let it go, and to have to decide what you actually want from your work and your life.

She hears the unsaid things

It was her edge in sales. It is her edge in this work. She will often name what is in the room before you have found the words for it.

She is not softly softly

This is not gentle coaching. It is a paradigm shift. Helen will challenge you, name what she sees and hold you to what you said you wanted.

The Elements

Helen is from the earth: grounded, practical, built to last. With the passion and drive of fire. The ability to flow and adapt like water. And the clarity and vision of air when she needs to rise above it.

She is, in other words, all four. Which is rare. And it is why she can meet people wherever they are in their own elemental profile and help them find what is missing.

We are fractals of the natural world, made of fire, earth, air and water. When those elements are in balance, everything else follows.

Elemental Tribe is based in Andalusia, Spain. Helen works with clients across the UK and beyond, in person and online.
