An Hour a Month to Reset: Energy Management Circles

Once a month, your team steps away from the inbox for an hour.

Sessions are scheduled around the business, so groups can come to session without the whole firm stopping at once.

A moment to pause and to recalibrate.   To pull away from whatever is on people’s mind, to be still, to catch what really needs attention.

Quiet moments have a magic where problems come to light, the one that has been niggling for days but without becoming clear.  Solutions often follow right behind.

What Boro Actually Is

Boro takes its name from a traditional Japanese textile practice: old cloth mended and strengthened by hand rather than thrown away. We use simple running-stitch on a single piece of fabric, in that same spirit, as a tool for energy management, not craft. Simple stitching gives busy minds something to hold onto while the body finally gets permission to slow down.

You don't need to be good at it. You don't need to finish it. The stitching isn't the point. The pause is.

How It Works

Each participant gets a Boro kit in the post: recycled denim, a pattern template, a needle, and thread. No sewing experience needed.

Sessions are scheduled around the business, so groups can come together without operational cover becoming a problem. Each one opens with a short guided meditation or mindfulness practice to ground and clear the energy in the room. Then we stitch together. Some sessions include talking about what's going on in the business or the world. Some don't. There's no pressure to keep pace with anyone else, and no competing to finish first.

Why It Works

Creative practice with the hands lowers stress and rebuilds focus in a way that talking alone rarely does. This isn't a wellbeing add-on. It's energy management. It gives people back the reserves that relentless pressure drains away.

For one hour a month, everyone in the business is doing the same simple thing, side by side, with nothing to prove.

Built for the Whole Team

Not just leadership, and not everyone at once. Sessions run across the month so the whole firm takes part, delivered virtually so anyone can join regardless of location, for firms of 15 to 150 people.
